Thorben Wieditz
Researcher and Campaigner, MetStrat Canada
Thorben Wieditz has a background in urban planning, environmental studies and geography, focusing on the intersections of labour and urban (re)development processes. He also serves as Director of Fairbnb Canada, a not-for-profit organization that advocates for fair rules for short-term rental platforms like Airbnb. Before co-founding MetStrat, Thorben was a researcher and campaigner with several labour unions. He came to Canada from Germany in 2002 and has since made Toronto his home.
