Jonathan Wheatle is the Director of Economic Strategy for The Regional Municipality of York. He leads a team of professionals supporting the growth of the business community in York Region. Throughout his career, Jonathan has spent time working in both the private and public sector where he has held roles ranging from test engineering to technology development and deployment as well as business development. Over the last 20 years Jonathan has dedicated himself to supporting businesses of all sizes by assisting and guiding them with everything from business plan development and funding applications to international expansion. He holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Wilfrid Laurier University and a B.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics from the University of West Indies.
