Vice President, Consumer & Device Sales

Travis Ames is the Vice President of Consumer and Device Sales at Microsoft Canada. Based in Toronto, Travis leads the Consumer and Device Sales (CDS) organization for Microsoft, working directly with Retail, Device and Distribution partners across Canada to create new business opportunities and customer experiences through Windows, Xbox, Office, Surface, and partner devices. In this role, he leads the team responsible for Sales, Marketing, Product and Operations to deliver success for our customers and partners.

Travis joined Microsoft in 2000, holding multiple global and local leadership roles across Product Management, Sales and Marketing in US, Canada and Europe (Geneva, Switzerland). Prior to Canada, Travis led the Global Device Sales organizations responsible for Microsoft’s #1 and 4 customers Worldwide.

Travis holds a B.A. from the University of Washington School of Business, with a concentration in Information Systems. Travis recently completed Harvard Business School’s High Potential Leadership Executive Program 2019 and has completed various extended learning leadership programs from Wharton, Stanford, and Kellogg. During his spare time, Travis enjoys traveling to new countries (going on 62), exploring new foods, golf, running and spending time with his wife and friends.
