Ted Livingston is the Founder and CEO of Kik, a chat network with millions of active users; and Kin, a cryptocurrency for mobile apps. Founded in 2009, Kik is headquartered in Waterloo, Ontario, and has raised $120.5 million from investors including Tencent and Union Square Ventures. Kin was launched in 2017 and is now live in 40 apps on iOS and Android, making it the most spent cryptocurrency in the world. Ted maintains an active interest in the University of Waterloo’s Velocity Fund, a startup accelerator he conceived of and first funded. He was also named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People In Business in 2017 and Fortune’s the Ledger 40 under 40 in 2018.
