As a Super Bowl champion, entrepreneur, and seasoned tech investor, Ryan co-founded Next Play Capital in 2014 to focus on investing in top-tier funds and venture-backed companies across consumer, fintech, and IT/SaaS verticals. With $500M in assets under management, Next Play Capital’s unique community of professional athletes, GPs, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and investors provides a powerful ecosystem to access funds and companies that are generally inaccessible to most investors. Ryan’s career began with a distinguished seven-year NFL stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his entrepreneurial interests later saw him co-found StraightCast Media, a mobile app that empowered athletes to create their own HD content (later sold to FOX Sports). Ryan has led co-investments for Next Play Capital into Hippo, Brandless, ByteDance (TikTok), Flexport, Hims, Impossible Foods, Peloton, Rubrik, and Walker & Co.
